Balance

Today, Lane's existence is in balance.

He is exactly as old on the outside as he was on the inside.  This is an even time of knowing him, from the cellularly small to the real human in front of me - the same number of days.

From today on, he will be growing more in the world, affected more by experience and memory and outer knowledge than dna, evolution, instinct, older with breath than without.
